Keep the shade line your building is known for. Match it by part number or by tape measure, then decide what changes inside.
RLM light replacement starts with one question: can you still get the exact part, or do you need an equivalent? Enter the old part number in Bock's Part Number Cross-Reference to find the matching Bock shade, arm, globe, guard or finish, then configure it to order with an LED or medium-base socket.
You know the row we mean. A line of dome shades on goosenecks over a loading door, their enamel chalked by twenty summers, one of them dark since the last storm. Or the jelly jar by the back entrance that finally let the rain in. The building still looks right because of those shapes, so the goal is to keep the silhouette and change what has failed.
Every Bock fixture is configured and built to order in our Twinsburg, Ohio operation, so a replacement can match the diameter, neck, mounting and color of what is already on the wall.

On a job site, the fixture you need to match is usually twenty feet up and has no readable label. Here are the two ways to identify it.
If you have an old submittal, invoice or box label, type the part number (full or partial) into the cross-reference lookup. Each result is marked Exact Replacement (same specifications) or Similar Product (comparable, check the dimensions). Click through to the configurator to set the finish, socket and mounting. Product pages also list the competitor numbers they replace, as on the Gooseneck Top arm.
No part number? Photograph one fixture next to a tape measure and record:
Send these to our team with photos and we will confirm the match before you order.

Bock domes and step-neck shades at work outdoors and in production spaces.
Most RLMs we are asked to replace were built for incandescent, metal halide or compact fluorescent lamps, and a failed ballast is often what starts the conversation.
Replace a part when the shade is sound and only the globe, guard, gasket or socket has failed. Replace the fixture when the shade is corroded through, the arm is cracked at the thread, or you are changing the light source anyway. A new shade in the same diameter and finish keeps the row uniform.
Bock's Adjustable LED Lumens & Kelvin Module is cULus certified for indoor and outdoor use and runs on 120 to 277 V with 0-10 V dimming down to 10%. The 23 W LAC02 has selectable output of 1,500, 1,850 or 2,400 lumens and 3000, 3500, 4000 or 5000 K. It fits the 41 glass jelly jar and 31-size guards, in shades 12 in. and larger. The 43 W LAH01 reaches 5,000 lumens with the 42 jar, in shades 16 in. and larger. A 90 CRI version adds 2700 K.
Listings. A Bock shade ordered with its LED module ships as a listed assembly. Converting another maker's fixture in the field is a different case: whether it keeps its wet listing depends on that fixture and your inspector. When in doubt, replace the whole fixture.
Many buildings were fitted with Troy-RLM shades and goosenecks. CSL Lighting, which now runs the troyrlm.com site, lists the Troy-RLM system as discontinued and offers a smaller RLM Essentials range in its place. If your drawings call out Troy-RLM part numbers, the Bock lookup includes Troy part numbers with exact and similar matches. For example, AR14 returns our 14 in. Shallow Dome.
On a large rollout, hang one sample next to an existing unit first. Standard Dome, Step Neck Dome and Shallow Dome accept a BAA or BABA suffix on the part number for public work. Seal outdoor top-mount threads with PTFE tape. You can also order replacement gaskets and powder coat touch-ups with the fixtures.
Competitor numbers mapped to a Bock equivalent, each marked exact or similar.
Plus custom color matching for older shade colors.
Across Standard, Step Neck and Shallow Dome, to match the size you already have.
Enter the part number, full or partial, in the Part Number Cross-Reference on bocklighting.com. Results show the matching Bock product and whether it is an exact replacement or a similar product. Click through to configure finish, socket and mounting. If your number is not listed, send us the old spec sheet or a photo with the shade diameter, and our team will suggest the closest match.
Look it up, or send us a photo and the shade diameter and we will find your match.
