Can you expedite my order, and what are the fees and lead times involved?
Expediting is possible on a case-by-case basis depending on current factory workload, product configuration, and component availability. Standard lead times typically range from 2–5 weeks depending on the fixture and finish; stock items in standard colors (black, white, bronze) may ship same day or next business day.
When expediting is feasible, fees vary based on how quickly you need shipment: - 30% expediting fee: Commonly applies for shipment within 2 weeks (e.g., source #9, #12, #18, #22, #41, #51, #59, #64). - 60% expediting fee: Required for 1-week turnaround (source #9, #22, #48). - In rare cases, a 20% surcharge has been offered for ~1.5-week lead times (faq_0097).
Fees are typically added as a separate line item on the PO. Expediting may require overtime, air-freighted components (e.g., LED modules), or substitution of non-stocked finishes (e.g., matte black instead of standard black). Government or critical-project orders may be prioritized without fee at Bock’s discretion (source #14, #24).
To request expediting, provide your PO with a clear required ship date marked as “rush” or “hot.” Your project manager will confirm feasibility and exact fees. Note that even with expediting, guaranteed delivery depends on production capacity and parts availability at time of order.
