What are the time limits for reporting defects, shortages, or damage, and what happens if I miss the deadline?
Customers must notify Bock of any defects, shortages, or damage within 5 days of delivery. Claims reported after this window may not be eligible for warranty coverage. Timely reporting is critical—even if the issue seems minor—because delays can void eligibility.
In some cases, Bock may still assist after the 5-day period on a case-by-case basis, especially if there are extenuating circumstances (e.g., weather delays, construction halts). However, this is not guaranteed. For example, if fixtures were stored for weeks due to exterior painting delays, Bock may ask for a placeholder return to evaluate the issue but reserves the right to deny coverage.
For shortages or missing parts, the same 5-day notification rule applies. If reported late, Bock may provide photographic proof of shipment and decline further action. Always inspect shipments immediately upon receipt and document any issues with photos and the original PO number.
If you’re unsure whether your claim falls within the window, contact Bock as soon as possible—early communication improves the chances of a favorable resolution.
