What mounting, canopy, and driver enclosure options are available, and how do I choose between them?
Bock offers several mounting and driver enclosure options depending on fixture type, installation requirements, and whether the fixture uses integral LED or a medium base socket.
Canopy/Enclosure Types: The BCC series (e.g., BCC6A, BCC6C) is a larger canopy originally designed for emergency (EM) applications or matching existing installations. The BDC series (e.g., BDC6A, BDC6C) is a smaller, sleeker canopy designed for LED driver applications and is preferred for new LED installations. For example, smaller reflectors (e.g., BERT20) may require a BCC canopy to house the driver, while larger fixtures can integrate the driver internally.
Mounting Options: Fixtures can be cord-mounted (e.g., 643-10FT for 10-foot cord), stem-mounted (e.g., ST3-18 for 18-inch stem), or gooseneck-mounted (e.g., GN23A). Cord length is field-adjustable and specified in the part number. Most pendant fixtures include 96" (8 feet) of cord/leads for field connection by an electrician—Bock does not include a pre-wired power whip. Sloped ceiling mounts are available on select canopy-mounted fixtures (e.g., 643HD); specify ceiling slope when ordering.
Gooseneck Arms: Gooseneck types (e.g., GN22H, GN41P, GNX-1003) are selected based on fixture style, mounting requirements, and desired reach/height. Some goosenecks are single-head, others double-head (e.g., GNX-1003 includes two fixtures). Stem length can be adjusted in the factory or field (e.g., 48" to 36" stem saves $1.50–$4.25 depending on pipe size).
Catenary Mounting: Most Bock pendant fixtures can be adapted for catenary mounting—contact your Bock project manager for specific fixture compatibility.
